Beauty needs darkness in order to shine.

I am fascinated by light. Yet the more I reflect on it, the more I realise that without darkness, we might never truly see it.

This contrast lies at the heart of the Beauty Ball 2027 theme.

Dante’s Divine Comedy is a story of a journey. A descent into darkness, a search, a process of purification, and ultimately an ascent towards light. Yet it is not merely a story centuries old. It is something we all recognise.

We each carry our own shadows. Our own moments of doubt, searching and courage to move forward.

And that’s why I wanted this year’s event to be more than simply a beautiful evening. I wanted to create a journey that our guests could genuinely experience.

Beauty Ball 2026: Hundreds of People and a Programme That Evolved Until the Very Last Minute

Guests at Beauty Ball 2026 experienced an evening filled with nobility, music and emotion. What remained unseen, however, were the hundreds of people and thousands of hours of work that stood behind every detail of this exceptional night. More than 400 professionals were involved in preparing the gala — from the production team, technicians, scenographers and lighting designers to sound engineers, stylists and backstage coordinators. The installation of the stage, lighting equipment and sound system within the historic Winter Riding Hall took several days and required precise coordination across all departments. The programme itself was not a fixed script. According to director Lukáš Kodoň, it continued to evolve until the very last moment. “The order of performances changed up until the final rehearsal. The programme was a living organism. Fitting so many exceptional performances into a single night is an endless creative process — and that is precisely what makes it beautiful,” he revealed. Each musical performance required its own lighting and sound setup, precise entrances and technical coordination backstage. CHARITABLE IMPACT

The beauty of an evening can extend far beyond its boundaries.

Charity has been an integral part of Beauty Ball since its inception. In 2027, we will once again unite an exceptional social occasion with meaningful support.

This year, Beauty Ball will support the Tereza Maxová Foundation for Children, which has long been dedicated to helping disadvantaged children grow up in safe and nurturing environments.

Because a journey towards light can also mean bringing light into someone else’s life.

For one evening, the historic halls of Bratislava Castle will become the setting for The Divine Comedy.

From the very first step, guests will enter a world that gradually transforms before them, from the darkness of Inferno, through Purgatory, and ultimately into the light of Paradise.

Architecture, scenography, lighting, music and live artistic performances will merge into a single journey, culminating in the main Beauty Ball ballroom.

Beauty Ball 2027 presents a multi-stage programme unfolding throughout several spaces within Bratislava Castle.

SCENOGRAPHY, SPACE & ART

Beauty Ball 2027 will bring the story of The Divine Comedy directly into the premises of Bratislava Castle.

Inferno. Purgatory. Paradise.

Each chapter of the evening will have its own visual identity, atmosphere and emotion. Guests will move through them progressively, from the dark entrance spaces, through the world of Purgatory, and ultimately into the light and grandeur of Paradise in the main ballroom.

The visual world of Beauty Ball 2027 is being created through a collaboration between two distinguished creatives:

Scenography, lighting, architecture and vivid botanical installations will merge into one immersive environment in which the theme is far more than a backdrop.

It becomes a space through which guests will journey.

GASTRONOMY

Three spaces. Three culinary signatures. One evening of exceptional flavours.

The gastronomy of Beauty Ball 2027 will be as multi-layered as the evening itself.

The Ballroom, The Lounge and Privé will each feature their own culinary concept.

In The Ballroom and The Lounge, dinner will be served directly to guests, while Privé will offer an intimate fine dining experience.

LIVE GASTRO STATIONS

The evening will also feature three live gastro stations showcasing the culinary signature of all three gastronomic partners.

The gastronomic experience will be complemented by desserts inspired by the theme of The Divine Comedy, becoming part of both the visual and sensory story of the evening.

The Ballroom is the main hall of Beauty Ball 2027 and the setting for the central part of the evening's programme.

Grand Divine Comedy scenography, a live orchestra, a dance floor and the headline performances come together to create a truly spectacular ball atmosphere, right at the centre of it all.

Ballroom guests will enjoy a seated dinner at their tables, along with access to the other Beauty Ball experiences throughout the evening.

The Ballroom is the classic Beauty Ball at its grandest.

The Lounge

A more intimate atmosphere. An evening with its own rhythm.

The Lounge offers an alternative way to experience Beauty Ball, in a more relaxed, intimate setting with its own curated programme.

Live and unplugged performances, a dedicated bar and space to mingle create an atmosphere that unfolds alongside the main programme in The Ballroom.

Like guests in the main hall, Lounge guests will enjoy a seated dinner at their tables and be part of the shared Beauty Ball experiences.

Privacy. Fine dining. The most intimate way to experience Beauty Ball.

Privé is designed for guests who want to enjoy the atmosphere of Beauty Ball in the company of their own party, with the comfort of a private dinner.

Tables will be set in separate historic halls of Bratislava Castle, which will be at guests' disposal throughout the evening as their own private base.

A fine dining dinner will be served in the private rooms, so guests can spend the evening in their own company while remaining part of everything happening at Beauty Ball.

They can watch the main programme in The Ballroom from the balcony of the main hall, with a view of the evening's key musical and staged performances.
